I have taken over the additional charge of Western Sector on 5th April, 2024. It is indeed a matter of pride for me that I am handling the largest Sector of CRPF, which includes the Operational responsibilities in naxal affected area of Gadchiroli & States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Diu Daman. Apart from this, 29 Offices & Duty Bns of this Sector are deployed in various states of the country i.e. J&K, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Assam to maintain law and order as well as for operational duties. During the General Parliamentary Elections, 2024 in April-May, 2024, all Offices of this Sector contributed their best due to which no major untoward incidents took place. Many programmes like, Civic Action Programme, Plantation Drive, Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, Swatchta hi suraksha week etc were successfully organized with commitment.
Effective coordination has been established between the Officers of this Sector and those of State Governments, and other CAPFs in the AOR which has ensured the commendable performance of the Sector in all the assigned duties. The Sector Office has received Shield and Awards at the Force and regional level for the promotion of Hindi Language for the last several years. 139 Bn of this Sector has received the Best Ops Bn Trophy in Northern Sector.
I place on record my appreciation for all the good work being done by the Officers and men of this Sector, and I am sure, that they will continue to give their best to keep the flags of the Force and the Nation flying high.
