The CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA) was originally established as the CRPF Wives' Welfare Association (CWWA) and formally registered as an NGO in 1995. Its primary objective is to oversee the well-being of the families of CRPF personnel, especially during their extended periods of duty in conflict zones such as Jammu & Kashmir, the North-East, and areas affected by Left Wing Extremism. Many of our personnel are unable to have their families reside with them at their duty stations. The CWA was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Government of Delhi, on June 22, 1995. It operates as a non-profit society and is also registered as an NGO with the Income Tax Department under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act 1961.
