It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to one of the premier training institutes of CRPF, the "Counter Insurgency & Anti-Terrorism School (CIAT)" the Nursery of the jungle warriors, located in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. I am glad that you spared moments to visit our institute and know about our proud academic legacy and heritage in exceling leaders in tactical and capability excellence.
I feel proud to share that this institution has been adjudged the Best Training Institution thrice since its inception in 2009. This is all because of the sincere hard work of staff who have always given their best. I congratulate all of them who have given their efforts to bring this institution to a platform that commands respect and unparalleled repute.
Saluting the motto of the institution "युध्यस्वजेतासिरणेसपत्नान" (Bhagavad Gita: chapter 11, verse 34), wherein Lord Krishna guides Arjuna that "let you fight, you will be victorious in the war against enemy (evil)," a willing attitude is groomed amongst trainees to render their valuable services to restore and maintain peace.
At CIAT School, here we scrupulously ensure that trainees master knowledge and skills required to the force to meet internal security challenges with a specific focus on Left-Wing Extremism, Militancy. In the training, the force is mastered in handling arms, special weapons, marksmanship, map reading, fieldcraft, tactics, navigation devices, geographical information systems, jungle survival, etc., so that they can confidently and effectively tackle various situations in the fields. This institute has set an example by upgrading itself with the pace of times by digitalization of the training.
I foresee a bright future for this institution, it can never accept complacency. It ceaselessly strives to welcome and accommodate modifications to enhance the quality, relevance, and efficacy of the training process vis-à-vis developments in the internal security scenario.
