About CWA

The CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA), formerly known as the CRPF Wives' Welfare Association (CWWA), was established as an NGO in 1995 with the primary goal of ensuring the welfare of our personnel's families while they are away on duty, often unable to provide adequate attention to their households. Since many of our personnel are deployed in conflict zones such as Jammu & Kashmir, the North-East, and regions affected by Left Wing Extremism, it is often infeasible for their families to stay with them at their place of deployment. CWA was officially registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Government of Delhi, on June 22, 1995. It operates as a non-profit society and is also recognized as an NGO by the Income Tax Department under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

The association has initiated various programs aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of CRPF personnel and their family members.

Aims & Objectives :

The objectives for which the Society is established are as follows:

  •  To instil a sense of accomplishment and develop managerial skills among CRPF women.
  •  To actively promote inclusive initiatives for the empowerment and support of widows, special children, and CRPF personnel facing disabilities.
  •  To implement programs that facilitate the development of academic and vocational skills, offering training for serving and retired CRPF personnel and their families.
  •  To collaborate with other organizations and government departments, such as the Ministry of Human Resources Development, that share similar objectives while maintaining financial independence from such entities. This includes seeking financial assistance through such associations.
  •  To raise funds for various welfare schemes aimed at improving the well-being of CRPF families, widows, special children, and CRPF personnel facing disabilities.
  •  To organize cultural and sports activities.
  •  To invest and manage funds to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Association.
  •  Implement HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
  •  Conduct alcohol and drug de-addiction programs.
