This Institution was renamed as CoBRA School of Jungle Warfare and Tactics (CSJWT) from erstwhile "National Institute of Jungle Craft” and declared a permanent institution vide MHA letter No. 27012/17/2011-PF-III dated 23/05/2013 and letter No- II-27012/25/2011-PF-III dated 11/09/2014.
We conduct specialized training on jungle warfare to the personnel deployed in CoBRA units for Anti-naxal operations. On this line this institution has imparted Pre-Induction Training (PI), Re-Orientation Training (ReOT), Circuit Trg, Advance Combat Sniper Course, Orientation course for selected CO’s & 2IC’s of CoBRA Bns besides specialized trg to sister organization like SSB, NSG and Karnataka State Police. One workshop on post contact was also conducted in 2017 This institution is located in one of the dense jungles of India. That makes this institution very unique to train selected personnel to train in Jungle warfare and tactics. Due to the challenging climatic and terrain condition commandos will obtain enhanced physical and mental fitness along with topnotch tactical awareness. We have 4 firing range, 6 BOAC, 4 circuit training module, and 1 open gym to facilitate the trainees.
