This institution is not merely a training establishment; it is a forge that shapes the dedicated professionals who strengthen the nation's internal security through courage, discipline, professional excellence, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
The contemporary security environment is dynamic and continuously evolving. Terrorism, insurgency, hybrid warfare, drone technology, cyber threats, and other emerging challenges demand the highest standards of operational preparedness and continuous skill enhancement from our security forces. In this environment, the role of CIAT School assumes even greater significance. Our objective extends beyond imparting training—we strive to develop competent, disciplined, mentally resilient, technologically proficient, and leadership-oriented warriors capable of excelling in every operational mission.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) stands as one of the strongest pillars of India's internal security architecture. Through its exemplary contributions in Counter-Insurgency and Anti-Terrorism Operations, combating Left Wing Extremism, election duties, VIP security, maintenance of law and order, and disaster management, the Force has consistently demonstrated exceptional courage, dedication, and professional excellence. Sustaining this legacy depends upon high-quality, realistic, and mission-oriented training.
More than three decades of service in the Indian Army have reinforced my belief that the true strength of any force lies in the quality of its training, discipline, leadership, innovation, and its ability to adapt to changing operational realities. This philosophy will form the cornerstone of the training culture at CIAT School.
Our endeavour will be to make training increasingly mission-oriented, realistic, and technology-enabled. Modern capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Simulation-Based Training, Drone Applications, Digital Learning Platforms, and Data Analytics will be integrated into our training methodology to enhance rapid decision-making, situational awareness, and proficiency in technology-enabled operations. Simultaneously, emerging tactical concepts and lessons from operational experience will be incorporated into the curriculum to prepare our personnel for future challenges.
I am confident that through the collective efforts of our instructors, officers, staff, and trainees, CIAT School, Silchar will further strengthen its position as one of the country's premier Counter-Insurgency and Anti-Terrorism training institutions and continue to make a significant contribution towards enhancing the operational excellence of the CRPF.
