IG, Special Sector, re-designated as IG Madhya Pradesh Sector with KLP/HQr at Bhopal (M.P.) vide IG (Pers) Directorate General, CRPF, Order No. O-IV-11/2012-Org dated 16/10/2012. Accordingly, this office was shifted from Raipur (CG) and started functioning at Group Centre Campus, CRPF, Bangarasia, Bhopal (M.P.) wef 17/11/2012.
History
This Sector was formed and christened as Special Sector with its HQr at Delhi during April’ 1991. In partial modification of earlier construction it was ordered vide IGP (HQ), Directorate General signal No. I-IV-7/94-Org dated 11/05/1994 that the Neemuch and Bhopal Ranges with their GCs and Bns placed under the Adm control of Special Sector alongwith Ops Control of MP and Chhattisgarh States.
On the directions issued by the Directorate General, CRPF, Special Sector HQ was shifted from Delhi and Raipur during Nov’ 2009.
