It is a matter of great pride and privilege for me to lead the Chattisgarh Sector.
Established as an operational Sector initially in the year 2010, this Sector was later upgraded to a full fledged Sector in the year 2012 with the aim of uprooting the naxalism from the heart of the nation.
It remains the largest Sector in CRPF with operational control over 6 Ranges, 36 Bns, 4 CoBRA Bns. This Sector also has the unique distinction of having the Bastaria Battalion under its umbrella.
Due to untiring efforts & commitment, shown by CRPF, the naxalism is rooted out from the deep hinterland of Chattisgarh. Working in close co-ordination with Chattisgarh Police and other sister agencies, operations are conducted to prevent any chance of revival of naxalism.
The men and officers of this Sector have always keep the flag of CRPF flying high. Along with operational commitment, welfare of jawans will be given top priority.
