Sh. G P Singh

Director General

It is a matter of great pride to lead the country's oldest and largest Central Armed Police Force - Central Reserve Police Force. I take this responsibility bowing in reverence to the martyrs who laid down their lives for our great Nation. I am excited and proud to be a part of the force decorated with the maximum number of medals. The values of this force motto "Service and Loyalty" as well as 'Nation First' and 'Force First' are embedded in my personal philosophy of leadership. The nationwide presence of CRPF presents the image of a modern armed police force which also reflects 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat'. Our personnel always work hard to maintain peace in all theatres of the country. The commitment of CRPF in combat operations, riot-affected areas, VIP Security, Election process as well as relief operations is highly professional and commendable. I am happy that CRPF is a people-centric force. Its intellectual and technical capabilities are of the highest order.

I have had the privilege of serving in a force whose foundation was laid in pre-independence India and which has a golden and glorious history of 85 years. I express my commitment to work in full co-operation with the officers and men of the force. As the Director General of CRPF, the responsibility to follow the core principles of the Force begins with me. I, believe in leading by example. Therefore, it is my responsibility to ensure that my leadership and work style creates an environment for each personnel to work with honesty and dedication. I look forward to work with the Government, all ranks of the CRPF to work for the Nation. I am confident that all of us will discharge our duties and responsibilities in a professional, diligent and disciplined manner.

I am committed to provide an efficient force with a happy mind and sound body to serve the people of India. My top priority will be to look after the interests of our martyrs, ex-force personnel and their families and to ensure that they get due respect from the force and in the society. Along with this, my endeavour will be to strengthen the institutional structure of the force and ensure that the benefits of Government policies and the facilities provided by the Government reach the juniormost personnel of the force.

I will be visiting various places in the coming days to spend time with juniormost formations in field conditions and to enable a conducive environment for improved and enhanced inter-personal communication between all ranks.

Jai Hind

Director General, CRPF
