Ops Sector, CRPF Jorhat (Assam) was sanctioned vide Govt. of India MHA Order No. O.IV.10/2002 (ORG)/MHA/PF-III dated 14/09/2004 and started functioning 22/02/2005 with its headquarters at Rowriah, Jorhat (Assam). The entire State of Arunachal Pradesh, 14 districts of Upper Assam, 05 districts of Southern Assam and 04 Sectors of Assam & Nagaland disputed Area Belt (DAB) have been placed under Operational jurisdiction of (Ops) Sector, Jorhat.
