JOINING INSTRCUTION FOR FC & TACTICS COURSE

Aim & Scope: -

The aim of the Course is to prepare personal of the rank of CTs to SOs physically and mentally fit and to ensure that they understand the challenges of operational area and convert them into a competent, confident and efficient soldier, so that they could perform duty effectively in the operational area as an expert in Field Craft and Tactics.

Duration:-

04 weeks.  (All teams should report 02 days prior to commencement of the course.)

Capacity:-

150 Trainees (5 Teams of 30 Personnel each from a Unit)

Eligibility conditions:-

  a. Insps/SIs/HCs/Cts below 45 years of age.

  b. Edn. Qualification - Matriculation or Equivalent.

   c. Physically fit

   d. Medically fit (Medical report to be submitted on arrival.)

A.  Dress and Equipment:- 

The following Uniform and Kit itmes and Equipments must be brought by the trainees:-

01.   Authorized full kit articles.

02.   Identity card & Health Card

03.   Health card with Shape-1 medical category and course fitness certificate.

04.  Malaria kit (for malaria prone area) Mosquito repellent Cream/Mosquito Coil

05.   Mosquito net

06.   Passport size photograph

07.   Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Uniform

08.    Anklets Black

09.   Ammunition jacket/Pouch

10.    PT shoes and PT dress

11.   Jungle Shoes

12.   A scale

13.  B Scale

14.   Pull Through

15.   Ground Sheet (Big Size O.G Colour)

16.   Khaki Socks as per requirement  

17.    Rain Poncho (for rainy season June-November)

18.   Light weight Blanket & white bed sheet

                 For ORs- White Pant and White Shirt and PT Shoe       

                 For SOS- White Shirt, Black Pant and Black Leather Shoes

23.   GPS with rechargeable/sufficient Battery.

25.  Binocular, NVD, Monocular.

B.  Books & Stationary:-

Pamphlets on FC & Tactics, Map Reading, Quiz books etc.. Sufficient Registers/writing maaterials, Pen, Pencil etc. must be brought by the trainees.

C.  Arms &  Ammunition:-

Personal Arms and matching Ammunitions, ie. 110 Rds for firing practice and pouch ammunition extra to be brought by trainees.

Location:-

CIAT School – 03 Chittoor is located at a distance of 05 Kms from  Kalikiri Town, Annamayya (Dist), A.P on NH-71. It is situated at GR- 13040’42”60 N, 78048’51”14 E, with a population of around 25,000. The culture of Kalikiri is mixture of Rayalaseema and Dravidian cultures. The town is famous for its tomatoes market.

How to reach:-

Ø By Road:-

Kalikiri is well connected by road with regular bus services from Tirupati (75 Kms), Chittoor(70 Kms) and Renigunta (90Kms). It is also having good road transport connectivity between Kalikiri- Bengaluru (Approx.180 Kms) and Kalikiri – Chennai (Approx.210 Kms)

Ø Nearest Railway Station:-

1.  Kalikiri(05 Kms from the Camp) with very limited Trains and having stoppage of very short duration only.

2.  Tirupati and Renigunta- (75 Kms and 90 Kms respectively from the Camp) are the Main Railway Stations for the trainees coming from North India

3.  Chittoor (70 Kms from the Camp) is the Main Railway Station for trainees coming from South India.

Ø Nearest Airport :-   

Tirupati Airport at Renigunta, Tirupati Dist, (AP) (102 Kms from the Camp)

Climate:-  

Kalikiri is having a pleasant weather throughout the year.  Moderately warm with average temperatures between 20 to 40 degrees Celsius during Summer.  Summer lasts from March to June and the Rainy Season starts in July, followed by Winter Season, which starts in the month of November and lasts at the end of February.    Winter is also moderate with average temperatures between 15 to 25 Degree Celsius.

Mess Advance:-

 All trainees will have to deposit Mess Advance as per the details given below:-

Ø   Officer – Rs. 7000/-

Ø   SO’s Trainees Rs. 6000/-

Ø   OR’s Trainees Rs. 5000/- 

Withdrawal from Training:-    

Ø Trainees who do not fulfil the qualitative requirements or found unable to assimilate the subjects are liable to be returned to their respective Units.   

Ø Trainees who are medically unfit or suffering from any chronic disease shall not be permitted to undergo the course.   

Ø Absence from course for more than 4 days on any account will lead to withdrawal from Course.   

Ø Trainees lacking in discipline shall be withdrawn from the course and returned to their respective Units.

Leave:-

No Leave will be granted during the course except on extreme Compassionate ground.

Documents to be brought:-

Ø Movement Order

Ø Identity Card

Ø Aadhar Card

Ø Medical fitness Certificate for course

Ø Health Card.

Ø Return journey ticket

Ø Two passport size photographs in uniform.

Discipline:-

Ø All trainees should maintain high standard of discipline.

Ø Trainees will strictly adhere to the orders/regulations of this training school.

Ø Consumption of liquor, lending and borrowing of money are strictly forbidden.

Ø All area of camp except training area is out of bound for all trainees.

Ø Trainees should not bring any valuable items like gold and excess cash along with them.

Ø Trainees associated with indiscipline activity will be subjected to disciplinary action and returned to their units prematurely before the completion of course.

Ø The campus of this CIAT School is declared plastic free zone. Hence trainees are advised to not carry any kind of plastic baggage and also make use of dustbins available at various locations in the campus.

Medical fitness:-

Medical fitness certificate along with latest AME report must be produced on arrival.

General instructions:-

Ø Trainees should bring nominal roll particulars with latest Medical Category.

Ø The nominal roll particular should be submitted to the Trg. Branch before commencement of the course.

Ø Personnel reporting late will not be allowed to attend the training session.

Ø Institute will not provide return journey ticket.

Note:-


1. All trainees must have taken 2 doses of CoVID-19 and Booster dose.

2. All trainees coming from/deployed in malaria prone areas must be issued anti-malaria card and anti-malaria kit from respective units/Instns as per latest instructions on the subject. JOINING INSTRCUTION FOR CIAT COURSE FOR QAT (LWE UNITS)


Aim & Scope:-

ØTo have Endurance for Long Range & Multi Days Ops in full scale.

ØTo Analyze Terrain by using Survey Of India Map.

ØTo Navigate Day & Night at any unfamiliar terrain using Navigational Gadgets.

ØTo Plan an operation using SOI map & GIS.

ØTo effectively shoot (Shoot to kill) in combat situation.

ØTo Detect and counter IED in LWE infested area.

ØTo develop and sharpen tactical Skill to operate evasively.

ØTo operate/conduct various tactical operations effectively.

ØTo fire area weapons in critical situation (introductory fire).

ØTo explain various knowledge based subject(know your enemy & yourself)related to LWE.

ØTo operate7 days self-sustained exercise in jungle area in combat zone.

ØTo develop team spirit among team personal.

Duration:-

07 weeks. (All teams should report 02 days prior to commencement of the Course.)

180 Trainees (6 QATeams of 30 personnel each)

Eligibility conditions:-

1. GOs & SOs must  be below 35 years of age.

2. HCs must be below 40 years of age.

3. CTs must be below 30 years of age.
