Special Sector M. P. Sector

      It is matter of great honour and pride to have this opportunity of commanding Madhya Pradesh Sector. In 1991, this sector was formed and named as "Special Sector” with it’s headquarter at New Delhi. Later, during November 2009 M.P.Sector HQr was shifted from Delhi to Raipur (CG) due to Ops requirement. In 2012, "Special Sector” was re-designated as "Madhya Pradesh Sector” and its head quarter was shifted to Bhopal which is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. This Sector is functioning with two Ranges i.e. Bhopal and Neemuch, two Composite Hospitals i.e. CH Bhopal and CH Neemuch and three Group Centres i.e. GC Bhopal, GC Neemuch and GC Gwalior. Each Group Centre has 05 Adm units. Apart from that 1st, 41, 107, 123, 238 and 208 Bn are functioning under Ops control of this sector. The affiliated units are presently deployed in Jammu and Kashmir, LWE area of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana and in the North Eastern region. Two Battalions are also deployed in Special Operational Zone, Chhattisgarh. All units of this Sector are deployed to deal with Naxal problems and other various types of duties like Law and Order, Election related duties and VIP Security duties. No operational incident of serious nature took place in the area of responsibility. Troops deployed in the Ops jurisdiction of this sector are fully prepared to meet all types of challenges. Despite all prevailing odds, the officers and men of Madhya Pradesh Sector have performed their duties with utmost devotion, sincerity and professionalism without caring for their personal comfort, forever striving to safeguard internal security and maintain peace in the region/area of responsibility.
