Blood Donation Camp by WS CRPF at 102 RAF Bn CRPF:-


Central Reserve Police Force, Western Sector, Navi Mumbai taken up a noble cause to donate Blood for the poor & needy people of the society on the eve of 81st CRPF Anniversary Day.  A "Blood Donation Camp” was organized by Western Sector, CRPF, Navi Mumbai in association with Tata Memorial Hospital, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai at 102 BN RAF/CRPF HQr Taloja on 18/03/2019. During the Blood donation camp 45 personnel of CRPF/RAF donated blood.

          Sh T. K. Hati, Commandant, Western Sector, CRPF also donated blood to inspire personnel and their families to come forward for Blood Donation. He also congratulated all officers and personnel for blood donation.

Blood Donation Camp  organized

"Blood Donation Camp” organized on the occasion of 81st CRPF anniversary at various Units/Institutions under WS HQR CRPF from 16/03/2020 to 17/03/2020. During this blood donation camps CRPF officers and personnel donated the blood and inspired others to come forward for the noble cause. This is an Initiative from the Central Reserve Police Force to spread awareness about Blood Donation in the society.

12th Tribal Youth Exchange Program at GC CRPF Pune :-

12th Tribal Youth Exchange Program organized by GC CRPF Pune in association with BSF & Nehru Yuva Kendra at CRPF Group Center Pune from 20/02/2020 to 26/02/2020 involving 198 Tribal of Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand.

            An initiative of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Youth Affairs & sports to provide an opportunity to Tribal Youth for an exposure visit to different places of the country to understand the cultural ethos, language, lifestyles of the people depicting Socio economic and cultural development and unity in diversity aspects of our national life.

            In order to provide exposure to industry and skill development program, youth were taken to visit Police & various civil departments. They were also taken for Mumbai and Pune Darshan during the course of this period. This has been a healthy & constructive project where Tribal students from remote interiors of both the states got an exposure of the mainstream & they all found it very endearing.

            Sh. Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS, IG WS interacted with the participants and inspired them to do well and work towards serving the nation.

"Ek Shaam Desh Ke Rakshak Ke Naam” program at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Ahmedabad:-

A Program "Ek Shaam Desh Ke Rakshak Ke Naam” was organized by Sandesh News Channel on 13/02/2020 at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Ahmedabad to pay tribute to Pulwama Martyrs. The program included a panel discussion on Security Issues, Cultural Program by 100 RAF and Gujarat Folk Singers. A documentary depicting the role of CRPF was also screened.

Sh K. M. Yadav, DIGP, GC Gandhinagar during his speech highlighted the role and achievements of the force. A Cheque for Rs. 2,51,000/- was also given by ‘Sandesh News Channel’ for ‘Bharat Ke Veer’. The program was attended by about 900 people including personnel of CRPF and defence forces.

"Blood Donation Camp” by Western Sector HQR CRPF :-

CRPF, Western Sector, Navi Mumbai in memory of Supreme Sacrifice by CRPF Martyrs. A "Blood Donation Camp” was organized in association with TATA Memorial Hospital, Khargar, Navi Mumbai at 102 BN RAF, Taloja on 14/02/2020. Western Sector CRPF also organized Blood Donation Camp at four other places under its jurisdiction i.e. Group Centre Gandhinagar(Gujarat), Pune, Nagpur and Range Gadchiroli in which @40 total 200 units of blood was donated.

Shri Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS, IG, Western Sector CRPF, Sh S. Radhakrishnan (DIG), Sh K. M. Yadav, DIG GC Gandhinagar, Sh J. N. Kohli, DIG Range Gandhinagar, Sh D. S. Mishra, Commandant and other senior officers & personnel of WS CRPF/ RAF donated blood.

Shri Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS, IG CRPF addressed the media and emphasized upon this noble cause of blood donation. He also paid homage to the Martyrs.

Awareness program on Corona Virus at GC CRPF Gandhinagar:-

An awareness program on Corona Virus organized jointly by Family Welfare Centre and Composite Hospital, GC CRPF Gandhinagar on 08/02/2020. Dr Sandeep contractor, MD medicine delivered a lecture on topic followed by a question answer session which was moderated by Dr J. N. Trivedi, CMO, CH Gandhinagar. More than 200 personnel and their family members benefited from this program.

World Cancer Day program by various establishments of Western Sector CRPF:-

Western Sector CRPF with its 3 GCs, 3 CHs & 9 Adm/Ops Units along with RCWA & Cancer Hospitals organized various activities on 04/02/2020 as ‘World Cancer Day’.

Focusing on the theme "I Am and I Will" and to acknowledge that everyone has the capacity to act in the face of cancer, various activities such as Lectures by Specialists, Awareness Programs, Free Mammography & PAP Smear Test were organized. Around 2500 Force Personnel & family members benefitted out of it.

On the occasion Sh Sanjay Arora, ADG (Ops) Directorate and Sh Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS, IGP WS interacted with the Cancer Patients and their families at 102 RAF, Taloja, Navi Mumbai assuring them all needed support.

Monetary help from Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, Mumbai to Families ofPulwama Martyrs of CRPF.

In recognition of Martyrdom & Supreme Sacrifice of Pulwama Martyrs, Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, Mumbai donated Rs 51 Lakhs to the NOKs of 40 Martyrs who had laid down their lives.Shri Sanjay A. Lathkar, IPS, IGP, Western Sector CRPF, received 40 Cheques Each of Rs 1,27,500/-at the hands of Sh Uddhav Thackeray ji, Hon'ble CM of Maharashtra at his Office in Vidhan Bhavan today.

Sh Aadesh C. Bandekar, Chairman, Ms Priyanka R. Chhapwale, Executive Officer and Shri Sumant Bhargav Ghaisas, Cashier of the Trust along with other trustees also graced the occasion.

This has been a noble gesture of the trust towards welfare of Martyr families. Expressing gratitude on behalf of CRPF, a memento was presented to the Honorable CM during the Ceremony.

Necessary items for flood affected families of Bhamragarh sent by 113 Bn CRPF on 17 September 2019. Sh G. D. Pandharinath, Commandant 113 Bn flagged off the vehicles carrying necessary items for the flood affected families of Bhamragarh, Gadchiroli (Mh). Officers and personnel of 113 Bn CRPF remained present at this event.

Drawing Competition :-

On 11/04/2019 a drawing competition on "Swachha Bharat” was organized by Range Gandhinagar in Shivam Vidyalaya, Gandhinagar, where Saheed CT/GD Borse Dinesh Dipak of 25 Bn CRPF (martyred in Pulwama Police Line attack on 26/10/2017) had studied. 192 Bn CRPF organized Free Health Checkup camp under CAP at Jarawandi and its adjoining area on 12/03/2019. Dr Ravikiran Dighade attended the patients and provided free medicines to tribal patients. Sh Jiyau Singh, Comdt 192 Bn CRPF was present in this programme.

Gujarat Contractors Association:-

On 12/04/2019 The Gujarat Contractors Association donated Rs 51 lakh in CRPF Relief Fund. Sh K. M. Yadav, DIGP, GC Gandhinagar received the cheque.

Citizens, School Staff & Students of Wadasa:-

On 22/04/2019 Citizens, School Staff & Students of Wadasa, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra donated Rs. 75,000/- to families of Pulwama martyrs. Sh Prabhakar Tripathi, Comdt. 191 Bn CRPF received the cheque during a homage meeting organized in wadasa. All dignitaries present in this programme paid homage to martyrs.

Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Pune :-

On 26/03/2019 Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a Business Consulting Technology firm, based at Pune (Maharashtra), donated an amount of Rs 22,85,468/- and Rs 5 Lakhs respectively, to the "Bharat ke Veer : Corpus Fund " for the cause of welfare of families of CRPF martyrs. Sh B. K. Toppo, DIGP, GC Pune CRPF received the cheque.

JITO (Jain International Trade Organization) at Ahmedabad:-

On 03/03/2019 JITO (Jain International Trade Organization) organized a function at Gujarat University Convention Hall, Ahmedabad to salute the Martyrs of CRPF in Pulwama attack and donated an amount of Rs. 3 Crore to CRPF for the families of Martyrs. Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP, WS CRPF received the cheque and thanked organizers. Sh Amit Shah, President, (BJP), Sh Jigish Bhai Doshi, President JITO, Sh K. M. Yadav, DIG, GC GNR, Sh S. K. Parth, DIG Range Gandhinagar, CRPF & other dignitaries were present in the function.

Gurunank Punjabi Sabha, Andheri, Mumbai :-

Family of Pulwama martyrs were donated Rs 5 Lacs by Gurunank Punjabi Sabha & Mission School, Mumbai. Sh B. S. Siddhu, Comdt. Western Sector CRPF received the cheque on behalf of CRPF on 26/02/2019.

CGAI, Mumbai:-

Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP WS CRPF along with Sh R. S. Rautela, DIGP attended fund raising programme for martyrs organized by Corporate Gift Association of India (CGAI), Mumbai on 24/02/2019. IG WS highlighted the role of CRPF in maintaining peace & harmony in the country.

Various Programs Organized to Protest Pulwama Attack:-

9 & 37 Bn. CRPF:-

"Run for Unity & Peace" micro marathon for 5 Kms organized on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19/02/2019. During this Programme Tribute paid to the soldiers attained martyrdom in Pulwama attack on 14/02/2019. Sh Dharamrao Baba Atram, Ex-Minister was invited as Chief Guest. Sh Ravindra Bhagat, Comdt. 9 Bn & Sh Shree Ram Meena, Comdt. 37 Bn. CRPF other officers and personnel of 9 & 37 Bn had participated in this marathon run.

191 Bn. CRPF:-

A condolence meeting organized by local people of wadasa at Shaheed Memorial against Pulwama attack on 17/02/19. Civil administrative, Political authorities and officers of 191 Bn CRPF were present during this Condolence meeting. On 18/02/2019 students and college staff of Kuthe patil High school & Junior College, Wadasa paid tribute to Pulwama martyrs.

GC CRPF Nagpur:-

CAWA, GC CRPF Nagpur organized Candle March to pay Tribute to Martyrs of Pulwama. Sh Sanjay Kumar, DIGP, GC CRPF Nagpur and personnel of GC Nagpur with their families had participated in this march.

Western Sector CRPF:-

Western Sector CRPF paid tribute to Martyrs (Pulwama attack) on 16/02/2019 at Sector HQr. Sh Rajkumar, IPS, IGP Western Sector, other officers and personnel of WS HQr observed two minutes silence.

Protest Rally :-

Kauthik Foundation & Johar Sanskritik Sangathan with association of CRPF WS HQ organized a protest rally against Pulwama attack. Sh R. S. Rautela, DIGP (Adm) along with officers and personnel of Western Sector, CRPF participated in a long march from Central Park, Kharghar to Raghulila Mall, Vashi, Navi Mumbai on 17/02/2019.

A Health Talk on "Prevention Of Heart Disease” cum Health Check up programme was organized by Western Sector CRPF in coordination with Apollo Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai at Community Hall, Ekta Vihar on 25/09/2018. Approximately, 100 Personnel of Western Sector, Range RAF a/w their families, other families residing in Ekta Vihar Complex, also awake the bringing of check-up i.e Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, Bone Mineral Density, Doctor consultation etc.

Sh. Rajkumar, IPS, IGP WS CRPF and Dr. Tamir, Consultant Cardiologist of Apollo Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai graced the occasion.

Assistance to flood affected Kerala:-

Western Sector CRPF:-

On 24/08/2018 Western Sector CRPF donated and sent life essential materials to flood affected personnel of Kerala state.

DIG (Operational) Gadchiroli:-

On 24/08/2018 Sh T. Shekhar, DIG (Operational) Gadchiroli flagged off six trucks to flood affected state of Kerala in the presence of Gadchiroli based CRPF units Commandants. 1000 packets purchased by Gadchiroli based CRPF units collectively that containing life essential materials for Childs, women and men.

Organ Donation:-

Organ donation from deceased donors is gaining momentum in India and it is time to take this programme further to help thousands of patients with organ failure get a second chance at life.

CRPF as the largest paramilitary force has taken upon itself to contribute for this noble cause in large numbers. CRPF personnel and their family members were motivated to come out and volunteer for this cause.

So far 1235 officers and men of Western Sector, CRPF have pledged to donate their organs. Their names have been sent to CRPF HQ for further submission to NOTTO (National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization) under Ministry of Health and family Welfare, GOI.

Erection of Martyrs' Busts:-

The history of CRPF is repleted with instances of heroic deeds and acts of valour from the day of its inception. We remember and honour all our martyrs who have laid down their lives in the line of duty for the sake of their motherland serving in different parts of the country.

Western Sector, CRPF has erected busts of 23 such martyrs of the force belonging to Maharashtra and Gujarat, in the school premises where these martyrs had studied. This step will not only keep their memory alive but also inspire young generations. On various such occasions, CRPF officers have honoured the next of kin and parents of the martyrs in the presence of locals, teachers and students of the schools and prominent persons of the area.
