Cobra school of jungle warfare & tactics, has been established at Torali Village, Jamboti (Post), Khanapur (Tehsil), Belgaum (Dt.) on 408 acres of land allotted by govt. of Karnataka. 
Torali Village, Khanapur conjure an image of an oasis in the rocky and undulating terrain of beautiful Western Ghats. In a nutshell, CSJWT is constantly monitoring the dynamism of anti Naxal Operations and generating real time training and emerging as premier institute of India in jungle warfare. 

ARRIVAL AND RECEPTION 
All units/trainees intimates their travel plan i.e. mode of transport, date and time of their arrival at CSJWT well in advance for arranging reception at Belgaum Airport, Railway station and Bus Stand as the case may be. Belgaum is well connected by air, road and rail.
(a) By Road:- • Mumbai-Pune-Belgaum-Hubli-Bangalore
• Goa-Belgaum
• Hyderabad-Belgaum
(b) By Rail:- Belgaum Railway Station is well connected with all major cities of India.
(c) By Air:- • 35 KMs from Belgaum Railway Station
• 45 KMs from Sambra Airport, Belgaum 
• 125 KMs from Goa International Airport
• 130 KMs from Hubli Airport

CLIMATE
Climate at Belgaum is pleasant round the year. However during winter seasons (Nov-Feb) light woolen would be required especially during night. There is heavy monsoon rain starting first week of June and lasts up to September.

OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING
1. Readiness for Jungle warfare in compact team fitness. 
2. Analysis and application of terrain in tactical appreciation. 
3. To enhance combat firing standard in ground scenario.
4. To ingrain skill for "living off the land” over prolonged period.
5. To inculcate esprit de corps.6. To develop jungle surveillance and survival.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
1. Discussion on case studies with ground commanders.
2. Motivational speech by renowned guest lectures.
3. Design of training is need based and continuously changing. 
4. Participatory training based on scenario based.
